PROJECT EXPERIENCE
Asbestos Inspections/Abatement
Asbestos Consulting Services, Confidential Client, Hoffman Estates, Illinois – Asbestos Inspector/Account Manager – Managed, as well as performed, more than 1,500 asbestos surveys to identify asbestos containing materials in existing facilities located throughout the United States which were to be renovated or demolished. Asbestos-containing materials identified during the surveys were subsequently removed, prior to the proposed work activity. Responsibilities included: coordinating the completion of the survey; identifying applicable licensing requirements; preparing reports documenting the survey performed; arranging for abatement contractor bidding; on-site project management and air quality monitoring performed during abatement; documenting the conditions during abatement and disposing of asbestos waste generated during the abatement.
Asbestos Abatement/Project Management/Air Quality Monitoring, Confidential Client, Hoffman Estates, Illinois – Managed the abatement of asbestos-containing materials from active retail facilities (over 300 facilities) in CA, TX, OR, OH, MI, KY, VA, IN, NC, WV, PA, NJ, DE, ME, MA, CT, RI, NY, MD. Each project conducted was performed under a tight construction schedule. The projects consisted of developing a scope of work, designing a specification for the proper removal of asbestos-containing materials, procuring abatement contractors, conducting bid walks and site meetings, awarding the project, and the complete management and coordination with the facility manager, construction manager, general contractor, flooring contractor, abatement contractor, and air monitoring technician. In addition, asbestos awareness training was presented and provided to the facility employees as an educational tool prior to the start of each asbestos abatement activity.
Asbestos Surveys at Occupied Facilities, Confidential Client, Belton, Missouri – Project Director – Managed the performance of asbestos surveys of over 230 residential facilities located in MO.
These surveys included the identification of suspect materials, quantification of these materials, sampling of each material, photographic documentation of materials sampled, and the preparing reports for each facility with recommendations for the management of asbestos containing materials and cost estimates to remove the identified asbestos-containing materials.
Asbestos Surveys at Occupied Facilities, Confidential Client, Bowling Green, Ohio – Project Director – Managed the performance of asbestos surveys of over 100 buildings. These surveys included the identification of suspect materials, quantification of these materials, sampling of each material, photographic documentation of sample locations, and the preparation of reports for each facility with recommendations for the management of asbestos-containing materials identified.
Asbestos Abatement/Interior Demolition, Confidential Client, Towson, Maryland – Project Director – Managed the successful completion of an asbestos abatement and interior demolition of a 160,000 square foot retail facility. The project consisted of performing the initial asbestos survey to identify asbestos-containing materials, preparation of a final report identifying the asbestos containing materials on CAD drawings, preparing a general specification for the proper removal of any asbestos identified in the asbestos survey, procuring qualified contractors to bid the project, performing a pre-bid site walk with the client and procured contractors, awarding the project, and performing a kickoff meeting. The project was completed on schedule and within the Budget, with successful coordination of the abatement workers, demolition workers, and the client.
Indoor Air Quality Investigations/Mold Remediation
Indoor Air Quality Investigations/Project Management, Confidential Client, Hoffman Estates, Illinois - Managed Indoor Air Quality Investigations in multiple states for the purpose of identifying the presence of indoor air contaminants (i.e. Carbon Monoxide, Carbon Dioxide, VOCs, Formaldehyde, and Bioaerosols) and compared the data collected to current regulations and standards for indoor air quality. Provided recommendations based upon the data, interviews with facility occupants, and site reconnaissance of the facilities and HVAC systems.
