In today’s fast-paced market, having a single source of accountability is crucial for retailers and commercial developers. The ability to quickly acquire property, accurately understand environmental impacts associated with purchase/development, and efficiently remediating, abating or demolishing is key to meeting store opening deadlines and staying ahead of the competition.

Many environmental consultants limit their involvement in property transactions to a Phase I/II due diligence report and asbestos survey. As a retailer or developer, you are then forced to hire a second service provider to remediate or abate environmentally-impacted media or building components, and a third company to perform interior or complete demolition.

At Watterson we see our role differently — we offer TRN-Clean®, taking sole source accountability one step further.

First, we begin with a complete assessment of a property including:

  • Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessment
  • Asbestos, lead, and/or mold survey
  • Geotechnical survey
  • Wetlands Assessment

Secondly, we design and prepare bid specifications for removal of the environmental contamination or hazards associated with a property. This may involve working with your architect to incorporate interior or complete demolition specifications. Third, we walk the property with approved contractors to obtain bids. Finally, we oversee all environmental and demolition activities.
